Production of Alicante turron:

Alicante nougat is a hard-textured variety, made from peeled and toasted almonds, honey, sugar, egg white and wafers. Roasting the almonds is an essential step. Once they have reached the perfect roasting point, they are mixed with honey and sugar cooked until a ball is obtained, as well as with egg white. They are then kneaded to ensure a homogeneous mixture and an even distribution of the almonds.

Finally, the circular tablets or cakes are weighed, shaped and pressed with the corresponding wafers before being packaged.
